Max bid vs Buy Now at Copart, IAAI and ADESA

A max bid is the most you will pay at the sale; Buy Now buys the vehicle at a fixed price before it.

A max bid is the highest price you are willing to pay. Carena bids on your behalf at the auction, and the vehicle can sell for less if bidding stops below your max.

Buy Now is a fixed price some Copart, IAAI and ADESA vehicles offer before the sale. If the auction accepts the offer, the vehicle is yours at that price.

Either way, the amount is held in your wallet while the bid is open, and the auction’s fees and Carena’s flat fee are added if you win.

Yes. Placing a higher max bid on the same vehicle raises it, and only the difference is added to the hold.
